Biomechanical Assessment
The biomechanical assessment involves the examination of the lower limbs, looking at their structure, alignment, strengths and weaknesses. The range of motion of the lower limb joints will be examined including feet, ankles, knees and hips. Muscle flexibility and gait will also be examined. You may be asked to walk and/or run during the examination if appropriate to your needs. Once the clinical examination has ended, the findings will be discussed with you.
If necessary, an appropriate treatment plan will be discussed. If orthoses/insoles are required, then options will be discussed, whether it is semi-bespoke or fully bespoke insoles. Included in this assessment will be information relating to your footwear in order to provide you with the best possible support.
Where is this service provided?
Biomechanical assessments are avaiable for home visits (domiciliary care), at care homes and at your place of work, if a suitable place is available.

How Much Will It Cost?

For home visits where I have to travel further additional costs will be based upon costs and time of additional travel. Please enquire for a specific price.
