No two days are
quite the same.
It’s a hands-on job with plenty of variety. You might be deep-cleaning a heavily soiled truck cab in the morning, pressure washing a fleet of trailers in the afternoon, and polishing bodywork ready for a truck show the next day.
This is a mobile role. You’ll be travelling to different transport yards, depots and customer sites, usually working out of one of our fully equipped company vans.
What does a Truck Smart valeter do?
The Role
Interior Valeting
Deep-clean truck cabs and interiors to a high professional standard.
Truck & Fleet Washing
Clean HGVs, trailers, vans and other vehicles using professional equipment.
Truck Shows & Special Projects
Help prepare and maintain vehicles at truck shows and specialist jobs.
Look After Your Customers
Represent Truck Smart on site with every driver, manager and team you meet.
Look After Your Kit
Take responsibility for your vehicle and equipment.
Whether you’re working independently on a smaller site or joining up with a team of Truck Smart valeters for a major fleet wash, you’ll be trusted to get the job done right.

Do you have what it takes?
We’re not looking for just any valeter.
We’re serious about delivering a high standard for our customers, which means we’re looking for experienced people who take pride in their work.
Full UK driving licence
This is essential. Our teams travel to customer sites every day.
Minimum 3 years’ valeting experience
We’re primarily looking for experienced valeters who already understand how to produce a professional finish.
A great attitude
Turn up, work hard, help the team and take pride in what you do.
Happy working independently
Once you’ve been shown the job, we’re looking for people who are comfortable getting on with it.
Happy working as part of a team
Many jobs involve working alongside one or two other Truck Smart team members.
Flexible about where you work and working hours
This is a mobile role and may involve travelling to several sites in a day. Some days are longer than others too if it’s a big job!
Comfortable with physical work
Commercial vehicle cleaning is an active, hands-on job.
Professional with customers
You’ll be representing Truck Smart every time you arrive on a customer’s site.

Five days. 40 hours. Plenty of variety.
A standard working week is 40 hours across five days. We operate 7 days a week, so your normal five-day week will usually include one weekend day.
You’ll be starting early, travelling to different sites, and working physically hard. But in return, you get the freedom of being out on the road and out of a factory or warehouse.
If you want exactly the same routine every day, this probably isn’t the job for you. If you enjoy variety, being trusted to get on with your work and seeing different places, you’ll probably love it.
